Hi I`m Alan - although most people know me as Aldo.

I`m a Scottish artist creating original wall art from reclaimed wood, inspired by the wildlife, landscapes and stories that make Scotland such a special place.

Every piece begins with timber that has already lived a life of its`s own. Rather than hiding it`s history I embrace it. The grain, texture, knots and colours become part of the design, ensuring no two pieces are ever the same. Working each individual piece by hand some pieces can take over 80 hours to complete. Each original is made with the intention that it will live on for generations to come. More than anything I want my work to make people smile, whether it`s a playful highland cow, or a unicorn wearing a traffic cone, every piece carries a little piece of Scotland and it`s story.
